At the Law Offices of William R. Rawlings, I represent professional athletes and coaches in a variety of matters, including contract negotiations, marketing endorsements, sponsorships, and pre and post-career planning. While my services are available nationwide, due to my location in the Salt Lake City area, the majority of my clients come from the western United States. As a sports attorney and agent, my three main areas of service include:

Negotiation of the Player Contracts – Clients need the skills of an experienced negotiator to assist them in dealing with team management concerning their player contract. My knowledge and skill as a negotiator, combined with my knowledge of the economics of player salaries, allow me to provide clients with a negotiated contract that can address both short and long-term financial goals.

Negotiation of Coaching Contracts – Just as I provide experienced and skilled negotiation of player contracts, I provide the same service to coaches, helping them move up the coaching ladder and assisting them in meeting their professional and personal goals.

Counseling – Obtaining a player or coaching contract is only the first step of my representation. I assist clients in any dispute that may arise concerning player, coach, or team conduct. This includes acting as a go between, or mediator, during the term of a contract. In addition, I provide arbitration and, where necessary, litigation services for resolving more serious disputes.
